Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
General Summary:
Under general supervision, supervises the daily operations of business unit within Enrollment Services. May specialize in one or more of the following types of student services: registration, admissions, records or graduation and transfer.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Supervises staff to include: prioritizing and assigning work; conducting performance evaluations; ensuring staff is trained; ensuring employees follow policies and procedures; maintaining a healthy and safe working environment; and, making hiring, termination, and disciplinary recommendations.
- Directs the activities of the department, which includes planning, coordinating, administering, and evaluating programs, projects, processes, procedures, systems, standards, and/or service offerings; ensures compliance with federal, state, and local laws, regulations, codes, and/or standards.
- Participates in development, implementation and maintenance of policies, objectives, short-and long-range planning; develops and implements projects and programs to assist in accomplishment of established goals.
- Interprets and enforces academic rules and regulations; monitors academic standing; coordinates probation, suspension, and dean's lists, as appropriate.
- Coordinates processes, serves as a technical resource, trainer, and informational resource regarding enrollment services.
- Must work collaboratively to foster, facilitate and promote student success.
- Interacts with students and intervenes to resolve escalated matters.
- May develop and disseminate materials, web page and orientation content, and other enrollment-related documents.
- Participate in institutional committees and quality improvement programs and processes, as needed, and will provide leadership, direction and support to assigned staff to ensure compliance with federal and college requirements.
- May coordinates the grade petition process, responses to inquiries concerning academic performance, and resolves problems regarding the monitoring of student records.
- Interprets and monitors academic rules and regulations; monitors operations for data integrity as appropriate.
- May manages grade and transcript processing; coordinates academic information for graduation clearance; provides special program certifications.
- Compiles statistical information and prepares reports.
- Oversees and/or assists with entering course data into computer system, editing and revising data; notifies students of outcomes.
- Updates and edits relevant publications, for example: course schedules, bulletins, and student handbooks; oversees the production and distribution of publications.
- Reviews student appeal documents and has the ability to approve or deny student requests.

Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in related field with three (3) years recent and directly related experience in post-secondary student services
- OR
- Associate’s Degree in related field with five (5) years recent and directly related experience in post-secondary student services
- AND
- One year experience with ERP/SIS systems such as Banner
- One year of supervisory experience.
