- Types letters, reports, memos, minutes, and other documents required by the department staff.
- Sorts, copies, files, and/or scans correspondence and documents within the department.
- Processes required department documents, forms, and/or reports as required.
- Operates computer, printer, copier, or other office equipment as necessary.
- Accesses, updates, and maintains state and internal databases used within the department.
- Assists in administration of special department functions.
- Assists in maintenance of Early Intervention listserv.
- Tracks and maintains internal spreadsheets to ensure compliance with applicable regulations and policies.
- Assists with the review of documentation from contracted providers to ensure compliance with applicable regulations and policies.
- Copies and assembles family informational binders and intake packets for Early Intervention service coordinators.
- Attends meetings or training sessions as required.
- Performs other job-related duties as required.
- Opens, sorts, and distributes department mail.
- Greets and assists general public by providing information or instructions.
- Answers telephone calls and responds to general questions; directs other calls to proper individuals.
- Assists with other clerical duties in absence of department clerical staff or on an as-needed basis.
Qualifications
Required Education: High school diploma or equivalent. Computer training in basic/introductory Microsoft Office programs such as Word and Excel. Completion of at least one (1) business course beyond high school level preferred. Required Experience: Two to three (2-3) years working experience in county government or social service field preferred.
