Registered Nurse - Intensive Care Unit (Contract Role)
Location: Laconia, NH, 03246
Duration: 20 weeks Contract
Shift: 12hr Nights
Guaranteed Hours: 48 hours per week
Weekly Pay Rate: $2,784 - $2,976; Based on experience (Negotiable)
Position Overview:
We are currently seeking an experienced ICU Registered Nurse to join our team for a high-impact 13-week contract in beautiful Laconia, New Hampshire. This role is best suited for a confident, seasoned RN who thrives in high-acuity environments and is capable of working independently and efficiently.
Responsibilities:- Provide direct patient care to critically ill adult patients in a fast-paced Intensive Care Unit (ICU), including cardiovascular ICU (CVICU) patients if applicable.
- Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care plans based on patient condition and clinical protocols.
- Monitor and interpret cardiac rhythms, ventilators, and invasive lines (e.g., arterial lines, central lines).
- Administer medications and titrate critical drips in compliance with hospital policies and evidence-based guidelines.
- Respond promptly and effectively to emergencies, including code blue situations, sepsis alerts, and rapid patient declines.
- Communicate clearly and compassionately with patients, families, and the interdisciplinary team.
- Experience:
- Minimum 2 3 years of ICU nursing experience
- If closer to 2 years, candidate must be a strong self-starter with experience managing a wide range of critical patients and able to adapt quickly.
- CVICU experience strongly preferred - please highlight clearly on resume if applicable.
- Minimum 2 3 years of ICU nursing experience
- Licensure:
- Active New Hampshire RN License or Compact RN License Required
- License must be verified
- Certifications (Required):
- BLS (Basic Life Support)
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support)
- Certifications (Preferred but not required):
- TNCC (Trauma Nursing Core Course)
- PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support)
- CCRN (Critical Care Registered Nurse)
- EMR Experience:
- Cerner experience preferred, but not required
- Traveler Experience:
- First-time travelers will not be considered for this position
