Ultrasound Tech - PRN (Permanent Role)

Location: Waco, TX, 76712
Shift: 12 HR Days | 7:00 AM - 07:00 PM
Guaranteed Hours: (12 hours/week)
Compensation: Based on experience (negotiable)

• Perform high-quality ultrasound imaging procedures following exam protocols.
• Communicate with patients using AIDET framework to ensure excellent patient experience and safety.
• Educate and inform patients and families about procedures and assess patient comfort and tolerance.
• Properly position patients, adjust equipment, and ensure safety standards are met during procedures.
• Use sterile techniques and follow hand hygiene requirements during invasive procedures.
• Maintain and clean equipment and exam rooms to meet operational standards.
• Collaborate with engineers and physicists to maintain imaging equipment.
• Screen individuals entering the department for safety, adhering to policies.
• Document and verify patient information, consent forms, pregnancy status, and any required precautions.
• Maintain accurate medical imaging records per departmental policies.

• Proficient in conducting timely, accurate ultrasound procedures independently.
• Strong communication and patient interaction skills.
• Ability to stay calm and professional under stress and resolve issues effectively.
• Knowledge of emergency procedures and first aid.
• Committed to customer satisfaction and quality service delivery.
• Maintains up-to-date knowledge and competencies for care of all age groups: newborn through geriatric.

Education:

• High School Diploma or GED Equivalent

Licensure/Certification (Required - any one of the following):

• ARDMS Certifications:
  • OB/GYN (RDMS-OB)
  • Abdomen (RDMS-AB)
  • Breast (RDMS-BR)
  • Musculoskeletal (MSK)
  • Vascular Technology (RVT)
• ARRT Certifications:
  • Sonography (ARRT-S)
  • Breast Sonography (ARRT-BS)
• CCI Certification:
  • Registered Vascular Specialist (RVS)
