Job Summary:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Entry-Level IFTA Compliance Specialist to support our transportation compliance operations. This position is responsible for tracking mileage, fuel purchases, and preparing IFTA (International Fuel Tax Agreement) reports to ensure timely and accurate tax filings. This is a great opportunity for someone looking to begin a career in transportation compliance or logistics.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collect and enter mileage and fuel data from driver logs, fuel receipts, and ELD systems
- Maintain accurate records of fuel purchases, trip reports, and vehicle miles traveled across state and provincial lines
- Prepare quarterly IFTA filings and assist with other regulatory reports as needed
- Monitor fuel usage and mileage data for accuracy and completeness
- Work with dispatch, drivers, and accounting teams to resolve discrepancies
- Stay informed on IFTA rules, regulations, and reporting requirements
- Assist with IRP (International Registration Plan) or DOT audits, if applicable
- Support the Compliance or Fleet department with additional administrative tasks
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent (Associate's degree in Business, Accounting, or Logistics is a plus)
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Basic understanding of IFTA or willingness to learn
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and data entry
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Prior experience in trucking, logistics, or transportation administration is a plus but not required
