Chesapeake Search Partners is partnering with a respected non-profit to find a CFO. We seek a skilled financial leader to report to the CEO/President, providing strategic guidance in financial planning, budgeting, reporting, accounting, treasury, payroll, and tax compliance. The CFO will collaborate with the executive team and Board of Directors to align financial activities with organizational goals and ensure accurate financial statements, all while focusing on strategic priorities.
Responsibilities Include:
- Advise the CEO/President on financial planning and resource management.
- Build relationships with local, state, and national stakeholders, and communicate financial status to the Board.
- Manage the financial team, budgeting, forecasting, and ensure compliance with GAAP and regulatory requirements.
- Provide analytical support for mergers and acquisitions and assess prospective contracts.
- Oversee cash flow, asset planning, and risk management while developing predictive financial models.
Experience:
- At least 5 years in finance/accounting leadership, collaborating with executives and the Board to develop financial strategies.
- Proven track record in strategic planning and evaluating financial data to make actionable recommendations.
- Experience managing finance for a nonprofit with a budget of $25 million or more, preferably with diverse funding sources.
- Familiarity with M&A activities and managing annual audits with external auditors.
- Strong analytical, communication, and leadership skills, with knowledge of regulatory compliance and internal controls.
Salary : $165,000 - $200,000
