Overview
The region’s leading provider of integrated behavioral and primary health care seeks a compassionate individual to facilitate intake for our patients and clients. Work in a recovery-oriented environment as part of a team dedicated to helping others. The position pays a shift differential, as the successful candidate will work 12-hour shifts on Saturdays and Sundays at Chestnut’s facility in Maryville, IL.
Responsibilities
Screen callers and schedule admissions for residential detox and/or mental health care. Help potential clients to feel at ease and supported. Complete assigned portions of client intake process. Help with daily crisis residential/detox duties. Monitor clients as they self-administer medications.
Promote the recovery model of treatment including trauma-informed care, hope, respect, empowerment, health/wellness, and spirituality/connectedness.
Qualifications
Minimum high school diploma plus 10 years’ experience in the human services field or as a military veteran of service or a related administrative area OR Bachelor’s degree in a helping profession or related administrative area with 5 years’ experience OR Master’s degree in a helping profession or related administrative area. Prefer military veterans of services or spouses/other immediate family members of military veterans. Excellent telephone skills. Ability to handle many simultaneous tasks. Effective communication skills. Keyboarding skills. Valid driver’s license, private automobile insurance, and ability to be insured. Basic computer skills including Microsoft Office and an electronic health record. General knowledge of standard office procedures and use of office equipment.
