Quality Mentor Coach (Disabilities)

Position Overview
- Oversee CCMS services to children with disabilities as per required policies.
- Responsible for obtaining documentation sources of evidence of disabilities.
- Coach TRS caregivers to improve teacher child interactions and inclusion.
- Develop and implement Inclusion Plan within required time frames and according to required policies.
- Responsible for educating parents regarding services, disabilities, and available resources. Other duties as assigned
- Responsible for evaluating adaptive equipment needs.
- Provide on-site mentoring to child care providers in order to maintain Licensing Minimum Standards and/or Texas Rising Star (TRS) certification standards.
- Update records in Children's Learning Institute (CLI), TWIST, and Workflow systems.
- Provide on-going support through technical assistance, professional development, and modeling developmentally appropriate practice to TRS sites.
- Maintain a monthly visit schedule to insure all CWD children receive observations regularly.
- Submit weekly reports to Supervisory staff detailing visits, observations, successes, and obstacles.
- Develop instructional materials and provide trainings on a monthly basis.
- Participate in community events as required.
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university with major work In Child Development, Early Childhood Education or other closely related field.
- Minimum of at least six college credit hours in Special Education or related field. (Ninety six (96)) contact hours of documented training in Special Education or related field may be substituted for the six college semester hours required.)Graduation from an accredited four- year college or university and a minimum of one-year full-time work experience in child development or child care programs or customer service.
- One year full time experience in direct delivery of services to children with disabilities, which may include direct services, counseling, advocacy or volunteer work.
- Computer proficiency required
- Good written and verbal communication skills.
- Must have access to a personal computer or laptop, internet access, and quiet workspace at home to work remotely as needed

- Must be able to frequently walk, stand and sit for extended time periods.
- Repetitive use of hands; reaching and turning;

- Must be able to twist, turn, kneel, bend and stoop.
- Must be able to monitor children’s safety in activities when needed
- Must be able to work in all weather conditions including seasonally hot or cold temperatures
