What are the responsibilities and job description for the Utility Programmer Analyst position at City of Irving?
The primary focus of this position is to provide priority support and system administration of the Cityworks asset management and workorder system for Water Utilities; providing support and maintenance of the Utility Billing System, the Itron Advanced Metering Infrastructure (AMI), the Linko pretreatment system, the XC2 Backflow software, the NetworkFleet GPS application, and secondary support for the SCADA system; creating custom applications and reports; managing security access of servers and applications; and testing, evaluating, maintaining, and installing software and equipment, both in the office and in the field. Duties also include performing some database administrative duties; creating custom web applications; assisting with integration of GIS with other applications; and performing desktop support as needed. A Bachelor’s degree, or equivalent, in information systems or a closely related field and two years programming experience are required. Experience with Cityworks and enQuesta is preferred. Programming experience with Wonderware InTouch, Unity Pro, Configwiz, Python, MS Visual Basic, MS VB.Net, MS C#, HTML, JavaScript, Oracle PL/SQL, and MS Transact?SQL is beneficial. - Individuals hired into this position will receive $1000 after their first 30 days of employment provided there are no documented attendance or disciplinary issues.
- Employees that successfully complete their 6-month orientation period will receive an additional one-time payment of $1000 provided there are no documented attendance or disciplinary issues.
