We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Plumbing Inspector to join our team. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring compliance with plumbing codes, regulations, and standards. As a Plumbing Inspector, you will be responsible for conducting thorough inspections of residential and commercial building construction, ensuring construction activities are in compliance with all applicable codes, ordinances and regulations.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- H.S. Diploma or GED equivalent
- 5 years of journeyman/foreman-level experience in building trades and electrical, mechanical and plumbing installation
- OR an equivalent combination of education and experience
- Experience in construction inspection preferred
- Certification as Plumbing Inspector through the International Code Council; Texas Plumbing Inspector license through the Texas State Board of Plumbing Examiners within 1 Year
- Mechanical Inspector Certification through the International Code Council within 1 Year Preferred
- Depending on the needs of the City, the incumbent may be required to obtain additional specific technical training and certifications.
