Key Responsibilities:
- Operate and maintain two wood-fired boilers, ensuring safe and efficient performance.
- Monitor key operational indicators, including water levels, pressure, temperature, and steam load.
- Transfer wood fuel from storage to the boiler to maintain optimal performance.
- Conduct routine maintenance, including cleaning tubes and removing ashes weekly.
- Follow detailed written and verbal job instructions to ensure compliance with operational procedures.
- Apply critical thinking and problem-solving skills to identify and address operational challenges.
- Adhere to strict safety protocols, utilizing personal protective equipment (PPE) while working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment, which includes:
- Moving machinery
- High-speed forklift traffic
- Seasonal environmental conditions
