What are the responsibilities and job description for the HR Assistant position at Comfort Systems USA Southeast?
The HR Assistant will coordinate and oversee all processes for a new hire, as well as perform various administrative and clerical tasks to support the HR Manager.
Responsibilities:
- Coordinate all pre- and post-employment paperwork, conduct weekly new hire orientations, and schedule required OSHA training.
- Assist with tracking employee referrals, getting approvals from management, and submitting to payroll for payouts.
- Follow up with management weekly on status of new hires.
- Support HR Recruiter as needed with sourcing, cold/warm calling, phone screenings, and skill assessments to help fill roles across the Gulf Coast Region.
- Maintain employee safe driver and T-shirt lists, submit badge requests for military bases and school systems, and administer safety reward and recognition programs.
- Other related HR and Safety Administrative duties as needed.
Requirements:
- Previous clerical experience
- Familiar with standard office procedures and confidentiality
- Working knowledge of office equipment and processes
- Experienced in MS Office
- Excellent communication skills
- Strong organizational and multi-tasking skills
- Must be able to pass a background check and drug screen.
Compensation
- Wage Range starting at: $23.00 /hr, based on qualifications and experience
Schedule
- Monday – Friday 8:00am – 5:00pm with an hour lunch break
