General Purpose
The City of Commerce City is seeking Seasonal Lifeguards to join our team! Under the supervision of the Aquatic Supervisor and guidance of the Aquatic Coordinators, aquatic assistants and head guards a lifeguard is responsible for the general safety and conduct of the patrons using the seasonal outdoor pool and enforcement of the governing policies, rules, and regulations in the pool area.
We will review applications every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday.
Hiring salary is dependent upon experience.
The hiring range for Concession Associate is $17.16 - $19.43 per hour.

Minimum Qualifications
Must be a minimum of 16 years of age. Previous experience preferred but not required. Must possess current certifications in all or a combination of the following: Starfish Aquatic Institute – StarGuard Lifeguarding, First Aid, CPR, AED or ability to obtain prior to, or within one month, of hiring.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
Manages City tools, equipment, supplies, and resources for the best interest of citizens- Must be highly motivated and take direction well
- Bilingual language skills are a plus but not required
- Must be willing to work evenings, weekends and holidays.
- Understands and responds to customer needs.
- Perform general lifeguard duties and pool maintenance tasks.
- Ability to work hours scheduled.
- Enforce safety and health regulations.
- Ability to work well with culturally diverse people.
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with other employees and the public.
- Will comply with wearing sun protection including hat, shirt, sunglasses and sunscreen
- Ability to work well with varied and demanding people.
- Ability to communicate effectively verbally.
- Ability to organize tasks and working environment to maximize efficiency.
- Ability to focus attention on tasks, which may be routine or repetitive without losing concentration or becoming distracted by external activities.
- Ability to adapt to interruptions, equipment failures, unusual demands, or changing priorities.
- Ability to understand and follow written and oral instructions and procedures.
Salary : $17 - $22
