Key Responsibilities
EDUCATION: Graduate of a college or university with a master's degree in education or a related field.
EXPERIENCE, TRAINING, OR SKILLS: Three years of professional experience in education, career and technical education, or a related field.
Substitute EDUCATION for EXPERIENCE: NONE
Substitute EXPERIENCE for EDUCATION: Current Rank II or Rank I certification by the Department of Education or Education Professional Standards Board will substitute for the required educational requirement. Additional professional experience in the field of education will substitute for the required educational requirement on a year-for-year basis.
SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS (AGE, LICENSURE, REGULATION, ETC.): NONE
Working Conditions
Work is typically performed in an office or school setting. Travel may be required.
Probationary Period
This job has an initial and promotional probationary period of 6 months, except as provided in KRS 18A.111.

Key Responsibilities
- Provides consultative services and technical assistance to local school district personnel and other state and private educational agencies in the development, coordination, implementation and monitoring of educational programs
- Provides ongoing technical assistance to local school district personnel and other state and private educational agencies in interpreting Title IV, Part A of the Student Support and Academic Enrichment (SSAE) program.
- Advises districts on the allowable uses of funds, role of the SEA, fiscal responsibilities, and local application requirements.
- Provides consultative services to grantees in order to provide successful technical assistance to districts regarding laws, cost principles, and grants management.
- Collaborates with education partners within and outside KDE on various projects.
- Evaluates school district applications for federal funding.
- Reviews district reports, other program reports, and evaluations.
- Collects and compiles data for state and federal reports.
- Identifies and provides technical assistance to districts and others.
- Checks and analyzes school, district, and state data.
- Performs onsite compliance monitoring at the district level.
- Performs other duties as required.
