The Energy & Environment Cabinet, Division of Human Resource Management is currently looking for a Human Resource Administrator. If you are ready to put all of your Human Resource knowledge and experience to good use, we have the job for you!
By joining our team as a Human Resource Administrator, you’ll have the opportunity to provide personnel, payroll, and benefits guidance to hundreds of employees across the state, and become a beacon of knowledge for the office.
Holders of the Human Resource Administrator position will complete tasks such as:
Minimum Requirements
EDUCATION: Graduate of a college or university with a bachelor's degree.
EXPERIENCE, TRAINING, OR SKILLS: Three years of professional experience in Kentucky state government merit system human resource administration or Kentucky governmental employee benefits administration.
Substitute EDUCATION for EXPERIENCE: NONE
Substitute EXPERIENCE for EDUCATION: Administrative, business, research, and/or clerical experience will substitute for the required education on a year-for-year basis. Current or prior military experience will substitute for the required college on a year-for-year basis.
SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS (AGE, LICENSURE, REGULATION, ETC.): Must have successfully completed the Personnel Cabinet's Human Resources (HR) Academy.
Working Conditions
Incumbents working in this job title perform duties in an office setting. Minimal travel may be required.
Probationary Period
This job has an initial and promotional probationary period of 6 months, except as provided in KRS 18A.111.

- Utilize KY Human Resources Information System (KHRIS) and MyPurpose.
- Interpersonal relations

- Time Management
- Experience utilizing SAP GUI and/or KHRIS
- Payroll and Personnel experience within 18A
- Customer service experience
- Microsoft Office Experience
- Experience working in a team environment
