Aging Care Manager 1 (Local Government) - Northumberland County Area Agency on Aging

Work Schedule and Additional Information:

• Full-time employment (37.5-hour work week)
• Work hours are 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 30-minute lunch.
• Salary: In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable.

QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:

• Three years as an Aging Case Aide 2; or
• A bachelor's degree which includes or is supplemented by twelve (12) credits in social sciences, behavioral sciences, human services, or a closely related field; or
• An equivalent combination of experience and training.
• Applicants will be considered to have met the educational requirements once they are within 3 months of graduating with a qualifying degree/credits.

• Hiring preference for this vacancy may be given to candidates who live within Clinton, Columbia, Dauphin, Lycoming, Montour, Northumberland, Schuylkill, Snyder, or Union counties. If no eligible candidates who live within these counties apply for this position, candidates who reside in other counties may be considered.
• You must be able to perform essential job functions.

Legal Requirement: 

• This position falls under the provisions of the Older Adult Protective Services Act.
  1. Under the Act, a conditional offer of employment will require submission and approval of satisfactory criminal history reports, including but not limited to, PA State Police and FBI clearance.
