Clinical Dietitian - Warren State Hospital

As a Clinical Dietician, you will plan and oversee patient nutritional care programs. You will complete nutritional assessments, develop nutritional plans, and provide discharge diet counseling. This role requires the ability to use effective communication skills to discuss patient nutritional needs with physicians and health care personnel while ensuring treatment complies with the principles of dietetics and nutrition. You will also plan standard and therapeutic menus, provide special instructions to cooks and food service workers, and monitor food service for quality assurance. In addition, you will maintain medical records, attend trainings and meetings, and serve on various committees.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:

• Full-time employment, 37.5 hours per week
• Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 30-minute lunch. May change based on operational needs.

QUALIFICATIONS

Special Requirements:

• Certification as a Registered Dietitian as defined by the Commission on Registration of the American Dietetic Association; or proof of eligibility for such certification.

Other Requirements:

• PA residency requirement is currently waived for this title.
• You must be able to perform essential job functions.

Legal Requirements:

• A conditional offer of employment will require a medical examination.
• This position falls under the provisions of the Older Adult Protective Services Act.
  • Under the Act, a conditional offer of employment will require submission and approval of satisfactory criminal history reports, including but not limited to, PA State Police and FBI clearance.
