The responsibilities also include applying standard geological principles and interpreting maps, aerial photographs, remote sensing images, and relevant scientific literature. The employee prepares comprehensive hydrogeologic reports, enhanced with maps, charts, and other visual aids, ensuring clarity for a diverse audience of scientists and non-scientists to facilitate informed agency decision-making. Additionally, they gather, compile, and analyze a variety of data sources, including written and oral reports, maps, photographs, remote sensing images, and subsurface hydrogeologic information such as geophysical well logs, water measurements, core samples, well driller logs, and water quality assessments.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:
- Full-time employment
- Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 30-minute lunch.
- Telework: You may have the opportunity to work from home (telework) part-time, up to 3 days a week. In order to telework, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection and work from an approved location inside Pennsylvania. If you are unable to telework, you will have the option to report to the headquarters office in Norristown.
- Salary: Selected candidates who are new to employment with the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania will begin employment at the starting annual salary of $67,678 (before taxes).

QUALIFICATIONS
Special Requirements:
- This position requires the possession of an active license as a professional geologist issued by the Pennsylvania State Registration Board for Professional Engineers, Land Surveyors and Geologists.
- This position requires possession of an active Pennsylvania non-commercial Class C driver's license or equivalent.
Other Requirements:
- PA residency requirement is currently waived for this title.
