Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our healthcare team. The Registered Nurse will be responsible for assessing consumer needs, administering treatments, and collaborating with healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough assessments of consumers' health status and medical history.
- Administer medications and injections as prescribed, ensuring adherence to safety protocols.
- Maintain accurate medical records and documentation of consumer interactions.
- Assist in sterile processing of medical instruments and equipment.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized care plans.
- Educate consumers and their families about health management, treatment options, and preventive care.
- Support individuals with developmental disabilities by providing tailored nursing interventions.
- Observe and record consumer response and/or medication side effects
- Participates as a member of the Quality Assurance committee
Experience
- Previous experience in acute care settings is preferred.
- Familiarity with infectious disease management and emergency medicine practices is advantageous.
- Experience administering injections and managing medical records is essential.
- Knowledge of sterile processing techniques is a plus.
- Experience working with individuals with mental health and developmental disabilities is desirable.
- Knowledge of mental health disorders, treatment modalities, and therapeutic techniques.
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and active listening skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a team and with diverse populations.
- Crisis intervention and conflict resolution skills.
- Excellent organizational and documentation skills.
- Empathy, patience, and a commitment to helping individuals on their mental health journey.
- A commitment to ongoing professional development in the field of mental health.
Requirements
- Current Georgia RN License
- BLS Certification
- Ability to pass a background check
- Ability to commute to Stone Mountain and surrounding areas
