Registered Nurse (RN)

Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong commitment to patient care and have experience in various nursing specialties. This role involves providing high-quality nursing care to patients in diverse settings, including home and/or office environments. The Registered Nurse will be responsible for assessing consumer needs, administering treatments, and collaborating with healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough assessments of consumers' health status and medical history.
• Administer medications and injections as prescribed, ensuring adherence to safety protocols.
• Maintain accurate medical records and documentation of consumer interactions.
• Assist in sterile processing of medical instruments and equipment.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized care plans.
• Educate consumers and their families about health management, treatment options, and preventive care.
• Support individuals with developmental disabilities by providing tailored nursing interventions.
• Observe and record consumer response and/or medication side effects
• Participates as a member of the Quality Assurance committee

Experience

• Previous experience in acute care settings is preferred.
• Familiarity with infectious disease management and emergency medicine practices is advantageous.
• Experience administering injections and managing medical records is essential.
• Knowledge of sterile processing techniques is a plus.
• Experience working with individuals with mental health and developmental disabilities is desirable.
• Knowledge of mental health disorders, treatment modalities, and therapeutic techniques.
• Strong interpersonal, communication, and active listening skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a team and with diverse populations.
• Crisis intervention and conflict resolution skills.
• Excellent organizational and documentation skills.
• Empathy, patience, and a commitment to helping individuals on their mental health journey.
• A commitment to ongoing professional development in the field of mental health.

Requirements

• Current Georgia RN License
• BLS Certification
• Ability to pass a background check
• Ability to commute to Stone Mountain and surrounding areas

Pay: $20.00 - $45.00 per hour
