About the Role
Our Maine-based client is seeking an experienced Senior IT Project Manager to support multiple concurrent projects across a variety of delivery methodologies. The ideal candidate will lead cross-functional teams, manage full project lifecycles, and ensure timely, quality delivery. Key Responsibilities
- Lead projects from initiation through delivery and handoff, managing scope, schedule, budget, risks, and resources.
- Create and maintain project plans, milestones, and status reports; escalate and drive resolution for issues.
- Facilitate project scoping and change-control processes; obtain approvals for scope and budget changes.
- Coordinate and communicate with stakeholders, steering committees, vendors, and geographically distributed teams.
- Ensure documentation meets regulatory and organizational standards.
- Identify process improvements, prepare cost/benefit analyses, and manage resource allocation.
- Mentor project team members and, where applicable, manage direct reports.
Must-Have Qualifications
- 4 years of project management experience (senior-level experience desired; 8–10 years preferred).
- Proven experience managing a variety of IT projects across methodologies (Waterfall and Agile).
- Strong verbal and written communication skills; ability to lead without formal authority.
- Self-starter who thrives in hybrid/virtual environments and across multiple time zones.
- Located on (or able to work in) the U.S. East Coast time zone.
Nice-to-Have / Preferred
- Experience with Cybersecurity projects.
- Experience with SAP and Microsoft 365 initiatives.
- Experience working with geographically dispersed teams.
- PMP or other project management certification.
Education
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
