Job Title: Registered Nurse (RN) – Telemetry
Duration: 13 Weeks
Schedule: 12-hour shifts
Hours: 36 or 48 hours per week
Shift: Night Shift - we do have openings for days aswell.
Position Summary
The Registered Nurse (RN) – Telemetry provides high-quality patient care in an acute care telemetry unit. This role involves monitoring cardiac patients, delivering safe and effective nursing interventions, and collaborating with interdisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes. The RN may be required to float based on staffing needs in accordance with union guidelines.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver comprehensive nursing care to telemetry patients
- Monitor cardiac rhythms and respond appropriately to changes in patient condition
- Administer medications and treatments per physician orders
- Document patient care accurately and timely
- Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary care teams
- Educate patients and families regarding conditions, treatments, and discharge planning
- Comply with hospital policies, procedures, and safety standards
- Float to other units as needed based on staffing assessments (may float up to three times per shift)
Floating Expectations
- Traveler will be assigned a primary home unit
- Staffing needs are evaluated every 4 hours
- Floating may occur per shift based on operational needs
- Travelers float before core staff, per union agreement
Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
- Telemetry nursing experience required
- Ability to work in a fast-paced acute care environment
- Strong cardiac monitoring and assessment skills
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
Requirements
- COVID-19 vaccination series required
- COVID booster preferred (declination accepted for booster only)
- No religious or medical declinations accepted for the COVID vaccine series
Salary : $68 - $70
