Automation Technician

Conagra Brands is looking for Automation Technicians to join our growing team! You will ensure adherence to all electrical codes, troubleshoot plant equipment and monitor all electrical codes. You will work onsite at our plant in Waterloo, Iowa. You will report to The Maintenance Manager. Known as "The Pudding Plant", our Waterloo Plant produces Snack Pack Pudding and David's Sunflower Seeds for consumers all across the world!

Job Details:

New Starting Pay: $39.15/hour

New Shift Differential: $1.40/hour

Benefits available on Day 1

2-2-3 schedule | 7pm - 7am

Essential Functions:

• Coordinate and assist with control system start-up and commissioning.

• Perform automation preventative maintenance and electrical preventative maintenance on packaging equipment

• Develop process control flow diagrams and instrumentation diagrams.

• Manage all required documentations for hazard locations and preventative maintenance lists.

• Ensure critical facility electrical systems and programming problems are identified and repaired expeditiously.

• Monitor electrical systems and associated electrical apparatus used in the plant

Education and Experience:

• Associate's Degree in Industrial Automation Technology, Electronic Engineering or Industrial Maintenance (in the absence of a degree, 2 years of applicable work history)

• 1 year of experience with VFD's and Servos

• 1 year of experience with Ladder Logic & Flow Diagrams

• 2 years of experience in a manufacturing facility

• 2 years of experience with PLC's, HMI's and SQL Servers

Work Environment Requirements:

• You will work in a manufacturing environment with varying conditions including moderate noise levels.

• You will move within office and manufacturing facilities, write by hand and keyboard, and perform general office functions.

• You will communicate by speech and hearing by phone and in person.

• Visual acuity needed for close detail work and computer use.

• General manufacturing, warehouse and office environment.

• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds.
