Join our mission-driven team and lead high-quality pharmaceutical care in Portland! As Manager, Clinical Pharmacy, you'll plan, develop, implement, and manage pharmacy services that ensure safe, effective, and cost-conscious medication therapy while upholding the highest professional and regulatory standards. Serve as Pharmacist-in-Charge (PIC) for one or more pharmacies, drive clinical advancements, and foster operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities
Leadership & Management
- Provide oversight for pharmacy services, caregivers, and workflows
- Drive staff development, education, well-being, and succession planning
- Represent the region on committees and collaborate with executive, clinical, and operational leaders
Clinical & Medication Safety
- Oversee formulary management, order-set standardization, and clinical initiatives
- Promote safety through surveillance, education, and multidisciplinary collaboration
- Reduce variation and advance evidence-based medication use
Operations & Compliance
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, local regulations, and accreditation standards
- Implement new technologies, optimize inventory, and manage purchasing
- Coordinate onboarding and education for pharmacy and non-pharmacy staff
Financial & Strategic
- Support budgeting, productivity, and investigational drug services
- Align operations with regional and system goals
Reporting: Reports to Regional Pharmacy Leadership; oversees frontline caregivers and leadership extenders. No travel required.
Qualifications
Required:
- Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited College of Pharmacy
- Oregon Pharmacist License (upon hire)
- 2 years pharmacy experience in an applicable practice area
