Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced and strategic Human Resources Director to lead our HR initiatives and drive organizational success. The ideal candidate will oversee all aspects of human resources management, including talent acquisition, employee relations, compliance, and HRIS systems. This leadership role requires a deep understanding of employment law, organizational design, and performance management to foster a positive workplace culture and ensure alignment with company goals. The Human Resources Director will collaborate with senior leadership to develop and implement HR strategies that support business growth and employee engagement.
Responsibilities
- Develop and execute comprehensive HR strategies aligned with organizational objectives
- Oversee talent acquisition processes, including sourcing, interviewing, and onboarding new employees
- Manage employee relations, conflict resolution, and employee engagement initiatives
- Ensure compliance with employment laws such as FMLA, OSHA, Workers' Compensation, and other regulatory requirements
- Lead performance management programs and employee evaluation processes
- Administer benefits programs including health insurance, retirement plans, and other employee benefits
- Manage HRIS systems such as Workday, ADP, Paychex, Kronos, UltiPro, Oracle HCM, SAP SuccessFactors, and others for data collection and analysis
- Supervise HR sourcing activities and oversee employee orientation and training & development programs
- Implement organizational design changes and process improvements to optimize workforce effectiveness
- Oversee payroll administration ensuring accuracy and timeliness using systems like Paychex or Dayforce
- Lead change management initiatives to support company transformations and strategic planning efforts
- Manage compliance with OSHA standards and workers' compensation policies
- Develop succession planning strategies to ensure leadership continuity
- Prepare reports and presentations for senior leadership on HR metrics and program outcomes
Requirements
- Proven experience in human resources management with a focus on strategic planning and program management
- Supervising experience leading HR teams or departments
- Extensive knowledge of employment & labor law, OSHA regulations, workers' compensation policies, and HR compliance standards
- Proficiency in HRIS platforms such as Workday, ADP, Paychex, Kronos, UltiPro, Oracle HCM, SAP SuccessFactors, Ceridian or similar systems
- Strong negotiation skills along with excellent communication and presentation skills
- Demonstrated expertise in talent acquisition, talent management, succession planning, employee relations, benefits administration, and performance management
- Ability to analyze data for decision-making using tools like data collection software or HR analytics platforms
- Experience with process improvement initiatives within HR functions
- Familiarity with contracts management and legal considerations in employment practices
- Strategic thinker with the ability to lead change management efforts effectively
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources Management or related field; advanced certifications such as SHRM-SCP or SPHR preferred
