The school is currently seeking married couples to become flex houseparents. As part of this unique career path, these individuals will reside on-campus student homes, guiding and nurturing a group of approximately 8-12 students. Flex houseparents provide a consistent family-like structure for students and handle various responsibilities such as driving, administering medication, budgeting, and reporting.
Upon initial hiring, flex houseparents cover different student homes before being assigned to one specific home. This position requires a two-person team, consisting of a legally married couple who has been together for at least two years. Both spouses should be at least 27 years old.
The ideal candidate should have experience working or volunteering with youth, preferably from under-served settings. The couple must also abide by a smoke-free and weapon-free campus, with no alcohol permitted while on duty. They should be comfortable leading students in daily devotions and taking them to Judeo-Christian Sunday chapel services.
Additional qualifications include a valid U.S. driver's license, the ability to drive student home vans, and completion of an individual employment application by both spouses. High school diploma or GED is required, and candidates must demonstrate a high degree of integrity as all staff are role models for students.
