What are the responsibilities and job description for the Accounting Support Specialist position at Consociate Health?
General Summary:
The Accounting Support Specialist reports to the Staff Accountant and Controller. This position will perform accounting functions as listed below and assist the accounting department with projects as presented.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities:
- Accounts Payable
- Accounts Receivable
- Billing
- Vendor payment auditing
- Create Monthly Reconciliation Reports.
- Coordinate and/or assist with special projects.
- Perform other duties as assigned.

- Attend required in-service and staff meetings.
- Preserve the confidentiality of all business-sensitive information, including but not limited to that of insured groups, individuals and employees.

Experience and Skills:
Knowledge, Skills and Ability Requirements:
- High School education required.
- Associates Degree preferred or a minimum of 3 years of bookkeeping experience
- Proficient in word and excel
- Attention to detail
- Time management
- Oral and written communication skills
Physical and Mental Abilities:
- Ability to perform sedentary work for extended periods of time.
- The environment in which the incumbent will work requires the ability to concentrate, meet deadlines, work on several projects during the same period, and adapt to interruptions.
