Senior Accountant (Associate-Level) – Hybrid | Annapolis, MD | $80K–$110K Bonus Equity

Our client is a publicly traded investor in sustainable infrastructure assets, managing over $14B in investments across solar, wind, energy storage, energy efficiency, and more. They are a mission-driven organization at the forefront of the clean energy transition, combining financial innovation with environmental impact.

We’ve partnered with them to identify an experienced accounting professional to join their high-performing accounting team. While the title is "Associate," this is truly a Senior Accountant-level role with broad exposure to investment accounting, cross-functional collaboration, and valuation analysis.

This is a hybrid position based in Annapolis, MD (2–3 days per week in-office).

Key Responsibilities

• Execute investment accounting for SEC filings, investor reporting, and internal financial analysis.
• Prepare amortization schedules, journal entries, and reconciliations.
• Analyze investment models, perform fair value calculations (DCF, NPV, IRR), and investigate variances.
• Maintain schedules for equity method investments, receivables, and securitization trusts.
• Collaborate with other departments on model updates and forecasts.
• Support quarterly close processes and preparation of SEC filings (10-Q, 10-K).
• Research technical accounting matters and support SOX compliance.
  
  

What We’re Looking For

• 2–3 years of accounting experience, ideally with exposure to financial services or investment accounting.
• Strong understanding of DCF, NPV, IRR, and loan mechanics.
• Advanced Excel skills; data analysis proficiency is a must.
• Bachelor's in Accounting or Finance required.
• CPA or CFA preferred.
• Familiarity with U.S. GAAP and financial reporting best practices.
• Strong communication, organizational skills, and an eagerness to learn complex financial topics.
