What are the responsibilities and job description for the Nurse - LVN position at CRF Behavioral Healthcare?
Hours: On Call for the following monthly shifts - 8:00 am to 4:00 pm or 6:00 pm to 10:00 pm- weekdays and/or weekends
Pay Rate: $37.14 per hour plus $3.00 per hour differential for weekend or overnight shifts
Licensure: Current California LVN/LPT license required and must be kept current and in good standing during employment
As a Nurse - LVN, you will be part of a team that assesses client's mental and physical health, and develops treatment plans.
- Consult with psychiatrist and other health professionals as well as manage medications.
- Coordinate care with outside providers to assist in a long-term plan for obtaining medications and maintain care in the community for both mental and physical health.
- Safely store and handle medications and ensure the proper documentation is completed.
- Provide medication support services, which ensure optimal outcomes for your clients.
Additional Qualifications and Skills
- BLS certification or First Aid/CPR certification required and must be kept current during employment
- Previous experience working with a mental health population, especially with individuals with severe and persistent mental illness and co-occurring disorders is strongly preferred
- Ability to physically and mentally assist in emergency situations is required
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment is essential
- Proficient computer skills, including MS Office
- Ability to pass criminal/background clearance

Casa Pacifica is a transitional residential program that assists people with chronic mental illness and dual diagnosis to move towards recovery and independent living. It is a Full-Service Partnership and offers clients mental health services including psychiatric care, assistance with medication management, individual and group therapy, vocational assistance, case management, and peer support.
The residential component of the program is 6 to 9 months long and graduates can participate in an alumni program that will assist in their transition to a more independent lifestyle.
