                    Job Purpose:  Responsible for the supervision of all fiberglass laminators and precast technicians.

Essential Duties Responsibilities

1. Supervise daily operations at fiberglass and at precast within established policies and procedures; create work schedules.
2. Receive equipment work orders, distribute work to employees; review blueprints for errors; communicate with Project Manager and Superintendents.
3. Design, build, and maintain molds (averages 15 or so small molds and 2 large molds per year).
4. Maintain work order system for all fiberglass and precast products; complete KPI tracking on all work orders.
5. Manage Manufacturing Orders (MOs) and issue to projects 
6. Keep sufficient materials to meet production demands. 
7. Procure best prices of materials.
8. Oversee maintenance of fiberglass shop equipment; make recommendations on fiberglass equipment purchases.
9. Patch and repair (blend) and refinish fiberglass products in both the shop and field environment.
10. Design and oversee production of anti-vortex devices and mud seals.
11. Receive materials into inventory and maintain full inventory of FG department.
12. Do quarterly inventories of raw materials, parts and completed products.
13. Quality control on fiberglass laminates and precast sent to field jobs (appearance, thickness, finish).
14. Keep good quality tools and equipment to achieve production goals, initiate purchase requisitions for special materials and tools.
15. Complete monthly reports of all finished jobs.
16. Enforce all company safety rules; oversee completion of weekly shop safety inspections; complete department inspections to ensure grounding safety, lids, labeling, material storage and that exhaust fans are functioning properly.
17. Follow all DEP and OSHA regulations pertaining to hazardous material and hazardous waste storage, recycling, and handling; recycle acetone.
18. Initiate employee discipline and counseling for performance, attendance, and conduct issues; recommend terminations as needed; conduct annual performance reviews for direct reports; provide input on hiring, promotion and pay rates for fiberglass shop employees.
19. Observe and maintain all fire and safety procedures; serve as point of contact for onsite fire suppressant vendor visits.
20. Stay current with fiberglass technology and develop employee fiberglass skills as needed; recommend training for fiberglass team.
21. Responsible for timesheet entry into Costpoint.
22. Perform other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

• • HS Diploma or equivalent (college degree or course work preferred).
  • 3-5 years fiberglass production experience.

Other requirements

• • Fiberglass production knowledge; mold making skills.
  • Valid Florida Driver's License.
  • Computer skills (Microsoft, software, excel, email).              
  • Able to be forklift certified (preferred).
  • Blueprint and design reading skills.
  • Safety equipment use (glasses, respirators…).
  • Active listening and strong interpersonal skills.
  • Basic math skills.
  • Able to build high performance team and resolve conflict.
  • Basic budgeting and financial orientation.
  • Knowledge of quality control methods.
  • Complex problem solving and critical thinking.
  • Able to tolerate stress and adapt to changing circumstances.

Working Conditions

• • Primarily works 50% inside and 50% outside exposed to the elements.
  • Requires travel, including overnight outside of employee's home territory.
  • Exposed to hazardous materials.
  • Exposed to frequent loud noises.
  • Exposed to dangerous machinery.
  • Generally works five 8-hour days, although overtime may occur.
