Position Overview

The Audit Director is responsible for overseeing the internal audit function, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, and providing strategic direction for the audit team. This role involves evaluating the effectiveness of internal controls, risk management processes, and financial reporting systems within the organization.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the internal audit team in the execution of audits across the organization.
• Develop and implement audit strategies and plans to address key risks.
• Ensure compliance with SOX and other regulatory requirements.
• Evaluate the effectiveness of internal controls and recommend improvements.
• Conduct financial analysis to assess the integrity of financial reporting.
• Engage with stakeholders to communicate audit findings and recommendations.
• Provide leadership and guidance to audit staff in their professional development.
• Monitor and report on audit progress and performance metrics.
• Facilitate process improvements based on audit outcomes and best practices.
• Collaborate with senior management to align audit activities with organizational objectives.
  
  

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; Master's degree or CPA preferred.
• A minimum of 10 years of experience in internal auditing or related fields, with a focus on risk management and compliance.
• Strong understanding of financial reporting and regulatory requirements.
• Proven experience in leading audit teams and managing performance.
• Excellent analytical skills, with a strong background in financial analysis.
• Ability to effectively engage and communicate with stakeholders at all levels.
• Demonstrated strategic planning and process improvement skills.
