Civil Estimator - Construction

Position Overview

The Civil Estimator is responsible for preparing accurate and detailed cost estimates for construction projects, specializing in civil works such as bridges, highways, marine structures, and railways.

Key Responsibilities

• Review and analyze project plans and specifications to prepare cost estimates for civil construction projects.
• Develop and maintain databases of historical cost data for various types of civil projects.
• Collaborate with project managers and engineers to understand project scope and requirements.
• Utilize estimating software such as HCSS for accurate and efficient estimates.
• Prepare detailed bid proposals including scope, pricing, and schedule.
• Participate in bid presentations and negotiations with clients and stakeholders.
• Monitor project costs and provide financial reports as necessary throughout the project lifecycle.
  
  

Required Qualifications

• 3 years heavy civil estimating experience
• Bridge experience
  
  

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field.
• HCSS or similar
