Key Responsibilities
- Review project plans and specifications to determine the scope of work
- Prepare accurate and detailed estimates for drywall projects
- Communicate with clients, subcontractors, and suppliers to gather necessary information
- Analyze labor and material costs to formulate competitive bids
- Collaborate with project managers to align estimates with project timelines and budgets
- Maintain records of estimates and bid submissions for future reference
- Attend pre-bid meetings and site visits as needed
- Proven experience as a drywall estimator or in a similar role
- Strong knowledge of drywall installation techniques and materials
- Familiarity with construction project management software
- Excellent mathematical and analytical skills
- Effective communication and negotiation abilities
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Knowledge of fire protection systems and framing is a plus
