Responsibilities
- Provide expert legal representation to insurance companies, self-insured businesses, and other clients in all aspects of insurance defense, including but certainly not limited to General Liability.
- Actively work a caseload of 30-40 cases.
- Develop case strategies, prepare legal arguments, and negotiate settlements in pursuit of favorable outcomes for our clients.
- Work closely with clients to provide legal counsel and develop strategies tailored to their business goals.
- Collaborate with a team of seasoned attorneys and legal professionals to solve complex legal challenges.
- Stay current on industry trends, laws, and regulations to provide timely, expert advice and guidance to clients.
- J.D. from an accredited law school.
- Active bar admission in NY
- 5 years of experience in insurance defense, including handling litigation, claims management, and settlement negotiations.
- Experience with construction site accident/NYS Labor Law is a big plus!
- General liability experience in NY such as like auto or premises liability is a big plus!
- $140k-200k base
- Aggressive EOY bonus AND bonus for exceeding billable hours
