Project Engineer

Position Overview

The Project Engineer is responsible for coordinating and managing engineering projects from inception to completion. This position plays a crucial role in ensuring that projects are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget while adhering to quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Coordinate project activities and resources to ensure successful delivery of engineering projects.
• Prepare and review technical submittals, ensuring compliance with project specifications and standards.
• Manage Requests for Information (RFIs) and ensure timely responses to all project inquiries.
• Assist in the development and review of proposals and contracts to ensure clarity and accuracy.
• Track project progress and prepare progress reports for stakeholders, highlighting any issues or delays.
• Manage change orders and ensure all project changes are documented and communicated effectively.
• Develop and maintain project schedules to ensure timely completion of project milestones.
• Oversee vendor management, ensuring that subcontractors and suppliers meet project requirements and timelines.
  
  

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related field.
• Proven experience as a Project Engineer or similar role in the engineering industry.
• Strong understanding of engineering principles and project management methodologies.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with teams and clients.
• Proficient in project management software and tools.
• Knowledge of relevant codes and standards, including NEC is a plus.
• Experience with submittals, RFIs, proposals/contracts, and change orders is highly desirable.
