Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and file quarterly and annual federal and state tax returns.
- Identify and implement strategies to reduce taxes.
- Manage the tax planning process for both the company and its clients.
- Assess current and proposed tax laws to evaluate impacts on the company.
- Research and interpret tax regulations.
- Lead and train staff on best practices for filing taxes.
- Prepare and review financial statements for accuracy.
- Answer questions from clients and colleagues regarding taxes.
- Evaluate and recommend changes to accounting processes.
- Bachelors degree in Accounting or related field.
- CPA certification required.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in Tax Accounting.
- Excellent understanding of tax laws.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Knowledge of accounting software and applications.
- Nice to have: Proficient with tax preparation software.
