Job Title: Tax Supervisor

Location: Hybrid Remote with offices in Rochester, Buffalo, Ithaca, and Syracuse, NY - 2-3 days in Office

Compensation: $80k - $105k base Bonuses 5 Weeks PTO

Requirement: 3-6 years of Public Accounting experience - 150 credit hours and CPA eligibility required - If you already have your CPA, even better!

Due to the growth and volume of work we are looking to add a Tax Supervisor to the team to help better serve our clients. The ideal candidate will have 4-6 years of Public Accounting experience. Must have experience with either Middle Market and/or Large Company tax clients focusing on larger multistate, international, or complex returns.

Position Overview

The Tax Supervisor is responsible for the completion of accurate and timely tax projects. This position will work on multi-state, multi-national, real estate, manufacturing (amongst other industries) companies. Majority of our small business clients are in the 1-10 million sales volume and middle market practice are closely held businesses in the $20 million $ 200 million sales. These Middle Market clients are going to be serviced by you and the team we build around you.

• Key Responsibilities:
• Supervise staff assigned to the tax department.
• Prepare and review tax returns, including corporate, partnership, and individual returns.
• Coordinate with clients to ensure all information is accurate and up-to-date.
• Ensure all tax returns are filed in accordance with established regulations.
• Resolve any client disputes related to taxes.
• Provide input into the development of tax strategies.
• Maintain a working knowledge of tax laws and regulations.
• Complete other related tasks as assigned.
• Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree in accounting or related field.
• 5 years of experience in a tax role.
• Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Solid understanding of taxation laws and regulations.
• Proficiency with tax preparation software.
