Position Overview
The Traveling Superintendent is responsible for overseeing commercial construction projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. This role requires travel to various job sites and strong leadership skills to manage site supervision effectively.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage all on-site construction activities for commercial projects
- Coordinate with subcontractors, suppliers, and project directors to ensure project timelines are met
- Conduct regular site inspections to monitor progress and adherence to safety regulations
- Implement and enforce safety protocols and ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations
- Troubleshoot and resolve any issues that arise during construction
- Prepare and maintain accurate project documentation and reports
- Provide training and support to site staff to ensure high performance and productivity
- Proven experience in commercial construction and ground-up construction projects
- Strong site supervision and leadership skills
- Willingness to travel extensively to various job sites
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and construction documents
- Most common travel schedule is 4 weeks on, 1 week off
- Sometimes there will be 6-8 week travel projects
- Base Salary ($75K-$95K)
- Commission (1.5% of Gross Profit on each job)
