Workday Analyst - Payroll & Benefits

Location: Hybrid (3 days onsite) - Morgan Hill, CA or Salt Lake City, UT

We're seeking an experienced Senior Workday Analyst to lead the configuration and support of Workday Payroll and Benefits modules across the US and Canada. This role plays a critical part in ensuring smooth payroll processing, benefits administration, compliance, and data integrity. You'll work cross-functionally with HR, payroll, and global teams to optimize Workday functionality and enhance user experience.

What You'll Do

• Configure and maintain Workday Payroll and Benefits modules to meet business and compliance requirements.
• Support and oversee US & Canada end-to-end payroll processes including bonuses, commissions, and retro pay.
• Administer employee benefits programs within Workday including health, dental, vision, retirement, and leave.
• Manage open enrollment, benefits elections, and support year-end reporting (e.g., W-2s).
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders to resolve payroll/benefits issues and provide Workday guidance.
• Design and maintain reports and dashboards; utilize EIBs and spreadsheets for data uploads and audits.
• Partner with global HR counterparts to align and support system updates, enhancements, and releases.
• Participate in bi-annual Workday releases and system testing.
• Drive automation and process improvement initiatives within Workday.
  
  

What You'll Bring

• 4 years of Workday experience with a focus on Payroll and Benefits (US and Canada); Absence/Time Tracking a plus.
• Strong understanding of benefits administration, open enrollment, and year-end processes.
• Skilled in data loads, EIBs, report building, and Excel.
• Knowledge of core HR operations and best practices.
• Excellent problem-solving and interpersonal skills; ability to collaborate across teams.
• Strong attention to detail, data integrity, and confidentiality.
• Experience in a fast-paced, global HRIS environment.
• Passion for process improvement and system optimization.
