Position Overview:
We are seeking a skilled Sterile Processing Technician (SPT) for a contract opportunity in Effingham, IL. The technician will be responsible for the decontamination, assembly, sterilization, and distribution of surgical instruments, equipment, and supplies. This role plays a crucial part in supporting patient care by ensuring all instruments are processed according to infection control and safety standards.
Responsibilities:
- Decontaminate, assemble, sterilize, and distribute instruments and equipment
- Follow proper protocols for infection control and safety
- Maintain accurate records of sterilization and equipment usage
- Stay current with education and best practices in Sterile Processing
Submission Requirements:
- Minimum 1 year of Sterile Processing experience – Required
- National Sterile Processing Certification (CBSPD or CRCST) – Highly Preferred
