Project Manager - ELECTRICAL
Job Summary
Danboise Mechanical, Inc., or “DMI,” located in Farmington, Michigan, is a full-service mechanical contractor providing plumbing, drain line, heating, ventilation, air conditioning and electrical services to commercial and industrial companies of all sizes. Recently, the ownership group of DMI determined to make significant investments into the talent, systems and infrastructure of the company to enable growth and solidify sustainability as DMI marches into its 3rd decade of operations. The ownership group considers the Project Manager– Electrical role paramount to enhancing the value that DMI provides to its customers and is looking for a candidate that will partner with the DMI Team to grow the electrical business and execute projects flawlessly. This role will report to the Director of Operations, who is also a member of DMI’s leadership team.
Responsibilities and Duties
Oversee all DMI electrical projects to ensure work is constructed in accordance with design, budget and schedule- Attend project meetings for coordination with other trades/contractors as required by the project and otherwise interface with project stakeholders such as general contractors, other subcontractors, architects, engineers and owner’s representatives throughout project as necessary
- Plan and coordinate all aspects of the company’s execution of electrical project work, including coordinating supervision, labor, and subcontractors, ordering materials, and overseeing any applicable project logistics
- Supervise all activities of DMI personnel and subcontractors on projects
- Oversee DMI’s safety protocols on electrical project sites
- Develop electrical project work business opportunities and drive the receipt of electrical project work awards from DMI’s current and prospective customers
- Complete accurate and timely estimates/bids for all electrical projects
- Obtain vendor/subcontractor quotations as required for estimates
- Review all awarded contracts to ensure contracts match the key financial, business and project points provided by DMI in estimates/bids
- Create, track and report on project schedules
- Manage multiple projects at the same time
- Estimate, manage and track all change orders
- Work with the Project Coordinator to procure all permits
Attend company staff meetings for coordination with other company divisions- Use DMI’s project management software and tools as required by DMI policy and procedure
Qualifications and Skills
Holds a valid and current Master Electrician License issued by the State of Michigan- Holds a valid and current Electrical Contractor License issued by the State of Michigan
- Proficient at managing electrical projects, estimating, reading blueprints and technical specifications, managing a team of electricians and working with other trades to complete work as necessary
Education and Experience
Minimum of 10 years’ experience in construction project management and/or foreman roles- Viewpoint Construction Software (a.k.a. Spectrum) experience valued, but not required
- AIA Billing experience valued, but not required

Salary : $66,200 - $83,800
