What are the responsibilities and job description for the Territory Sales Representative position at Delaware Elevator?
Continued growth and expansion have created the need for an outside Sales Professional in and around the Northern Virginia, Washington D.C., Baltimore, & Annapolis, MD areas. We require that you have a *minimum of 5 years’ experience with proven sales history in commercial construction or related industry.
POSITION DESCRIPTION:
Essential Functions:
• Your sales portfolio will begin with Service based sales however engagement and results will determine other areas of sales potential.
• Secure maintenance agreements and repair contracts by gaining a thorough knowledge of products, processes, and customer relationships so that sales goals and profitability levels are achieved
• Establish contact with prospects and qualify potential buyers of Maintenance contracts by scheduling sales calls, following up on leads and utilizing outlined marketing strategies.
• Develop a highly executable pipeline of work by prospecting and using localized marketing techniques.
• Become highly familiar with industry terminology as well as our key suppliers.
• Determine customer needs and develop sales strategies to communicate company modernization offerings to customers
• Work closely with marketing and sales management and Operations to fully establish the Delaware Elevator brand and reputation in your territory.
• Maintain a market awareness of planned projects and bidding strategies
• Develop a positive ongoing relationship with customers and general contractors
• Build new business associations/ relationships and grow Delaware Elevator businesses
• In this position you will be required to maintain high-quality information pertaining to customers and sales opportunities in the company CRM
• You will be responsible for estimating and proposing profitable projects within the company guidelines
• Be a highly professional representative of Delaware Elevator always.
• Provide monthly Sales and sales Pipeline reports
POSITION QUALIFICATIONS:
• Must be proficient in Microsoft office package and CRM tools
• Must have good customer relations skills
• Must be able to multi-task,
• Excellent Communication – written and verbal.
• Able to interact with all levels of personnel.
SKILLS & ABILITIES:
• Education: BS degree preferred,
• Experience: Five years related sales experience (Elevator related is an advantage)
• Proven ability to work remotely, independent as part of a team.
• Demonstrate understanding of general mechanical and electrical applications and complete the Technical Portion of the VTMP in the first 6 months of employment.
• Excellent time management.
