The Opportunity
Delaware North Gaming is searching for a full-time Marketing Coordinator to join our team at Finger Lakes Gaming in Farmington, New York. Responsibilities
- Assist in getting all of our promotional activities communicated to guests.
- Coordinate event activity while ensuring rules, regulations, and procedures are followed.
- Assist with coordinating all required post-event activity, including follow-up documentation and promotional evaluation.
- Assist with the purchase of necessary materials for events as needed through required bidding and purchase order process.
- Maintain inventory of all promotional items; brainstorm and manage periodic events to clear out excess inventory.
- Prioritize, organize, and handle multiple tasks simultaneously while working within tight deadlines.
- Be able to work with a flexible schedule; evenings, weekends and holidays are required.
- Display excellent customer service skills and positive interaction through relationships with customers, coworkers, and supervisors, by showing genuine concern and respect for people's needs.
- Exemplify appropriate skills to deal with customer complaints and help diffuse difficult and sometimes emotionally charged situations, to maintain the customer's goodwill and respect.
- Understand the goals and vision of the organization and demonstrate commitment to those goals in terms of individual and team performance.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Must be eligible for licensing by NYS Gaming Commission.
- Marketing or equivalent experience preferred.
- Previous customer service skills are required.
- Intermediate math skills are helpful.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, and the Internet.
- Superior organization and guest service abilities are required.
- Exceptional interpersonal and leadership skills are required.
- Must be a strong team player.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift and carry up to 30 pounds frequently
- Ability to work at a computer.
- Manual dexterity is sufficient for cash handling and typing duties.
- Visual acuity is sufficient to see and distinguish required reports and computer systems.
- Occasional bending, reaching, and climbing on the stepstool.
