Delaware North Gaming is hiring full-time and part-time Security Officer to join our team at Finger Lakes Gaming in Farmington, New York.

Shifts:
1. Full Time: Tuesday-Saturday (7:45pm-4:15am)
2. Part-Time: Saturday Sunday (11:45pm-8:00am)
3. Part-Time: Monday Sunday (7:45pm-4:15am) Saturday (3:45pm-12:00am)
$1.50 shift differential applies to any hours worked from 12:00am-8:00am

What will you do?
- Greets guests positively and timely, treating each person as an individual and in a professional manner
- Conducts cash escorts as required.
- Demonstrates skill in dealing with customer complaints, using active listening skills to defuse difficult and sometimes emotionally charged situations to maintain the customers goodwill.
- Team-oriented; ability to work effectively with others to ensure a smooth operation.
- Highly motived and takes initiative.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Observes, handles, and reports procedural violations and illegal activity.
- Ensure that identification is checked for proper admittance to the gaming floor.
- Maintains crowd control as required.
- Maintain a secure presence on the gaming floor.
- Patrol parking lot and ancillary buildings as assigned, operate a motor vehicle as needed.
- Defuse customer profanity to ensure a friendly environment.
- Role model the Guest Path Universal Service Standards and Operational Standards, interacting positively through relationships with guest and fellow associates displaying genuine concern and mutual respect for peoples needs.
- Other duties as assigned.
More about you
- High School Diploma or Equivalent.
- Law enforcement or related experience a plus.
- Gaming background a plus.
- Must possess a NYS Security Guard license.
- Must have a valid drivers license, pass an MVR check and take a drug test.
- Ability to follow verbal and written instructions.
- Ability to communicate both verbally and in writing.
- Must be able to be licensed by NY State Gaming Commission
- Ability to work across departmental lines.
- Maintain a professional and courteous demeanor when handling guest complaints/issues.
Physical requirements
- Ability to stand and/or walk for extended periods of time.
- Ability to communicate via two-way radio.
- Ability to stand, reach, and bend frequently.
- Manual dexterity sufficient to grasp/handle guest items and various equipment.
- Vision must be sufficient that the Officer is not restricted in the performance of duties day or night.
- Indoors and Outdoors.
- Occasionally loud environment.
