Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel, Quickbooks and the ability to understand financial applications is essential.Candidates should be able to work independently, research accounting issues, handle several projects at once and maintain strict confidentiality of company information.
Specific financial responsibilities may include:
maintaining financial records in Quickbooks, preparing general ledger entries, reconciling accounts, assistance in compilation of monthly financial data, creating analysis of monthly budgets vs.
actual, manage billings and collections, manage accounts payable, reconcile banking transactions, create ad hoc financial reports as needed, and ensuring that strong policies and procedures related to accounting are in place and adhered to.
This position may integrate with some HR responsibilities including input into human resource policies, maintaining required employee data, and administering payroll benefits.
Responsibilities will also include other tasks as they arise.
A bachelor or associate degree in accounting is preferred as well as experience with accounting, payroll, HR and compliance processes.
