HOURS: Monday through Friday, 6. hours per day
COMPENSATION: Per the Collective Bargaining Agreement located on the DY website.

SUMMARY: Directly supervises employees working in cafeteria. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Responsible for scheduling school cafeteria staff. Schedules shall include rotating staff responsibilities weekly to provide cross-training for employees.
- Maintain accurate productions records and meal counts.
- Maintain cafeteria to meet all requirements of Hazardous Critical Control Points (HACCP).
- Keep accurate records of time cards and weekly payroll.
- Responsible for lunch counts, sales of lunch tickets and processing of daily cash receipts. Responsible for monthly lunch count sheets with enrollments participation figures
- Prepare the weekly food order including, but not limited to, produce, milk, bread and other menu items.
- Oversee the daily work performance and the yearly evaluation of school cafeteria staff.
- Responsible for preparation of the main meal served daily. May assist with cooking the lunch meal. Oversee the preparation of all other foods.
- Conduct and record a monthly physical inventory of food, paper and cleaning supplies.
- Prepare and serve hot and cold breakfast daily.
- Assist with the cooking of the lunch meal.
- Work cash register during the serving of meals, if needed.
- Take monthly inventory of all food and equipment. Keep accurate inventory records.
- High school diploma or General Education Degree (GED) preferred; or one year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience preferred.
- Training in Heimlich Maneuver training and Certificate in safe food handling required.
