DCI is seeking a skilled Customer Service Rep (CSR) to support dispatch operations at our Linden, NJ terminal.
Primary responsibilities of this position include (but are not limited to):
- Working with customers and dispatchers to resolve issues which arise in the day to day activities of the dispatch department.
- Answers phones and is the first point of contact for customers.
- Communicates with Drivers to gather times and weights information.
- Verifies information against the customers appointment time and communicates this information to the customer.
- Sends all communication on customer detention delays so as to avoid billing issues.
- Verifies the tank is clear to turn in to the port, avoiding timely delays
Preferred Requirements:
- High School Diploma or GED.
- 1-2 years Customer Service experience
- Experience in the trucking and/or intermodal transportation industry preferred
- Advanced knowledge of working on computers & in software systems.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
