The Opportunity
The Vice President of Sales is a key member of the executive leadership team, responsible for setting and executing Det-Tronics’ global growth and commercial strategy across regions, channels, and markets. This role drives sustainable revenue growth while ensuring sales strategies align with enterprise-wide priorities, acquisitions, and long-term value creation.
Partnering closely with the CEO, executive peers, and global functional leaders, the VP of Sales brings a systems-driven, data-informed approach to sales leadership elevating go-to-market execution while fostering collaboration across product management, engineering, operations, marketing, and Customer Service. This role matters because it directly shapes how Det-Tronics competes, scales, and integrates globally.

Key Responsibilities
- Leads the global sales organization across multiple regions, channels, and customer segments, ensuring alignment with Det-Tronics’ enterprise strategy and growth objectives
- Develops and executes a data-driven, systematic sales operating model leveraging market intelligence, pipeline analytics, and performance metrics
- Drives change and transformation across a diverse, global sales force, including integration of acquired businesses and harmonization of sales processes
- Partners cross-functionally with Product Management, Engineering, Marketing, Operations, and Finance to align commercial strategies with technical capabilities and automation solutions
- Builds and scales multiple sales channels, including direct, distributor, OEM and strategic partner models, to maximize global market coverage
- Champions collaboration across the organization, thinking beyond the sales silo to optimize customer experience, product innovation, and operational execution
- Leads, coaches, and develops senior sales leaders, fostering a high-performance, inclusive, and accountability-driven culture
- Represents the voice of the customer at the executive level, translating market insights into strategic and operational action
- Ensures disciplined forecasting and execution, delivering predictable revenue performance aligned with private-equity expectations
- Models enterprise leadership, balancing short-term results with long-term organizational health and value creation
What You Bring
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, or a related technical field
- 15 years of progressive sales leadership experience within industrial, technical, or automation-driven environments
- Demonstrated success leading global sales organizations with multiple channels and geographically distributed teams
- Proven experience operating within complex organizations, including large enterprises or private-equity-backed companies
- Strong track record of building data-driven sales systems, forecasting discipline, and market-based growth strategies
Preferred Qualifications
- Advanced degree (MBA or equivalent)
- Experience integrating acquired businesses into a unified commercial operating model
- Background in industrial automation, safety systems, controls and product / system businesses
- Experience leading sales organizations through transformational change
- Strong executive presence with the ability to influence at the board and investor level
- International business experience across EMEA, APAC, and the Americas
