What are the responsibilities and job description for the Behavioral Support Crisis Intervention Specialist (Global Refuge) position at Diakon?
General Responsibilities:
- Provides intensive, strength based, one-on-one support to clients in collaboration with the clinician and reflective of the youth's mental health treatment plan.
- Establishes relationships with youth, foster families, biological families, case managers, and other providers in order to deliver comprehensive services.
- Interviews clients, performs observations, and helps patients build a plan to address behaviors.
- Customize behavioral and safety plans for individual clients.
- Provides interventions for foster parents and care provider staff.
