What are the responsibilities and job description for the Medical Coordinator/Case Aide position at Diakon?

General Responsibilities:
- Responsible for assisting in the coordination of case management services for clients' educational, therapeutic, medical, and placement needs.
- Supports staff in supervising, transporting, and communicating with UC as assigned.
- Primarily responsible for assisting in daily tasks to ensure that case management services are provided to youth in a timely manner.
- Primarily serve as the subject matter expert for Point Comfort Underwriter Insurance, ORR required medical and dental services.
- Maintain positive working relationships with contracted providers.
- Responsible for reconciling and addressing all billing errors to ensure accurate billing with no profit loss.
Education/Training: High School Diploma, or equivalent.
Experience: At least one (1) year of experience working with medical providers, and at least one (1) year employment experience in the child welfare field working with children and/or adolescents. 30 plus hours of higher education in a social service field, preferred. Bilingual Spanish/English fluency, preferred.
ADA: Occasionally required to stand, walk, or sit; use finger dexterity, handle or feel; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; Occasionally required to move or lift items up to 25 pounds in weight
