What are the responsibilities and job description for the Material Handler position at Digital Room LLC?
We are actively hiring for the position of Material Handler for our plant in Solon, OH
Shift:
1st Shift Monday to Friday 6:00 am to 2:00 PM
2nd Shift Monday to Friday 2:00 PM to 10:00 PM
Duties & Responsibilities
- Check off forklift inspection to ensure it is in good running condition.
- Supply all printing machines with raw materials according to the production schedule.
- Make gaylords for cutting machines and move the full ones to the recycling trailer.
- Maintain a safe and clean area around the storage racks and production area.
- Receive and unload material from the delivery truck and ensure the packing slip matches the materials being delivered.
- Report any and all workplace hazards to management immediately.
- Ensure all equipment, tools, and workstations are in good working order and is free of any safety hazards.
- Must be available for any required overtime based on business needs.
- Must be proactive with completing other duties as assigned.
- Assist with any Maintenance projects
- Other tasks assigned by manager
Qualification
- Good problem-solving skills.
- Good organizational skills.
- Attention to detail.
- Ability to read, write, speak & understand English.
- Ability to communicate effectively with co-workers.
- Ability to use hand/power tools and safe use of them.
- Ability to multitask with changing priorities.
- Ability to recognize safety issues & corrective actions.
- 2 years of experience in a warehouse environment
- 2 years of forklift driving experience
